Once more I find myself commenting on the passing of another familiar face from my childhood. This time it is Jack Colvin, who famously played the roving reporter determined to hunt down the “dangerous” green monster known as The Incredible Hulk. He appeared not only in the series, which ran from 1977 to 1982, but also several of the television movies that came after it.

Colvin, 71, died of complications from a stroke, according to CNN. Now, I make mention of his role in the Hulk series, but he also appeared in numerous television shows like Murder, She Wrote, The Six Million Dollar Man, and Cagney & Lacey. His film roles included Child’s Play, the John Wayne classic Rooster Cogburn, and Robert Redford’s Jeremiah Johnson.

Also according to the CNN story, which I took as a little sad, he had no wife or children.
