‘Bullet to the Head’ will leave you scratching yours

‘Warm Bodies’ is a zombie film. ‘Warm Bodies’ is a romantic comedy. Can you make a zom-rom-com? Jonathan Levine sure can and he did it very, very well.
The upcoming film adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks’ novel is the eighth time the author’s novels has been brought to the big screen. And it may very well be the most unique of them all.
There is something very familiar about the title character of Parker as portrayed by Jason Statham. That is because we’ve seen this character before. In the past however, he didn’t have the name “Parker”.
Some movies should have a sign hung over the doorway that read, in big bold letters, “suspend disbelief before entry”. This is one such movie.
Visually, this flick captures the look of 1949 Los Angeles. Too bad the script doesn’t quite have the same quality.
An excellent cast that is given very little to do in a very formulaic bit of fluff.
‘LUV’ is raw. ‘LUV’ is profane. ‘LUV’ is violent. But most of all, ‘LUV’ is a search for redemption.
‘Glee’ star Chris Colfer wrote this film and there are moments when his script is right on the money.
