SEE IT: “Avengers: Doomsday” trailer reveals Rebecca Romijn as Mystique

The Avengers have reassembled.

Marvel released the first full trailer for the upcoming sequel, “Avengers: Doomsday.” The teaser doesn’t reveal much in terms of the story, but it’s chock-full of characters.

From Patrick Stewart as Professor Xavier to Chris Hemsworth as Thor, along with Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Letitia Wright at Shuri, and Tenoch Huerta as Namor.

And while it’s not a surprise that Channing Tatum and Rebecca Romijn were set to appear in this film, the trailer provides us our first look at them, as Gambit and Mystique, respectively.

We also get a brief look at Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, making his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe after his debut five years ago with one of the best films of the post-“Endgame” era. The trailer then concludes with a new look at Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, in a return that is still unclear. As comic fans are aware, Rogers was not always Captain America (just like that mantle was worn by more than a dozen different characters over the decades), and went by other names in the comics, including Nomad and The Captain. While I’m doubtful this film will go through the trouble of actually dubbing him with one of those titles, it’s just worth noting that Rogers has appears in various forms in the comics.
