Great Gatsby that’s one outstanding trailer.
Fans of the celebrated F. Scott Fitzgerald novel — which most people probably read in high school, or should have — is returning to the big screen with Leonardo Di Caprio as the title character.
The trailer, which bowed online Tuesday night, shows a vibrant and stunningly detailed New York City as it was in the roaring 1920s. Elevated trains and the growing city skyline come to life amid white jackets, silk dresses, champagne and cigars.

Joel Edgerton, Isla Fisher and Carey Mulligan also star.
The film is helmed by Baz Luhrmann, whose visual styles brought 1899 Paris to life with unique style in 2001’s Moulin Rouge.
This is the second film Luhrmann and DiCaprio have done together. The Australian director and the Titanic actor did Romeo & Juliet in 1996.
The Great Gatsby has been made into a film several times, the but hasn’t been adapted for the big screen since 1974. That version starred Robert Redford and Mia Farrow.
