Everyone is getting hot over the first sneak peek – and we mean PEEK – at Star Trek Into Darkness.

J.J. Abrams pulled a clever bit of promotion by showing some of the movie on Conan O’Brien’s TBS show, Conan on Thursday night. And when we say some, we mean 3 frames.

That’s right, just 3 short frames. That’s roughly 3/24ths of a second.

What we know about the visual, which you can see above, comes from what Abrams said about the footage.

“Spock, who’s the… you know, one of the main characters, for reasons you’ll have to see the film to understand, has- is in a volcano, in this crazy suit,” he tells O’Brien before showing the footage.

And as expected, it reveals nothing.

The suit, while described as “crazy,” looks pretty much like a regular space suit. There’s some sound, but it’s just noise.

Not much else to say here, except to say that maybe Spock’s taking a trip to Mustafar.
